Paint My Shifter
Get some model paint. This stuff here. You can pick it up at a craft store for a few bucks. Then get a really good brush. They sell them too. Get a REALLY good one. It will pay for itself when you start painting. Trust me. Six years of art school talking here.
Then get a fine tipped knife or dental pick. Rough up the area (the numbers) that you are gonna paint. THen wipe the whole thing down with 91% alcohol.
Next just slowly and carefully paint ing the numbers. Let it dry for a day or so. THen if you want you can clear over the whole thing with a good two part clear coat or a good clear epoxy topcoat. (They sell it at craft stores to. Just tell them what you are doing and they will know what you need)
Done. Hope it helps.

There was a DIY type thing posted a long time ago where you use a Crayon and grind the wax into the numbers. I thought it was kinda dumb, but someone (Maybe Street Sniper) said that it works..
