my friend just used the krylon plastic paint for everything. it looks great. he blacked out all his dash and interior. he used alchol to clean everything and then taped everything off with newspaper to make sure no over spray got on his windshield or anything else. but first he took everything he could off of his dash. he painted all the parts off of the car except the dash. it is blacked out now. he is thinking about taping off his steering wheel and painting it but then he is going to get a real tight black steering wheel cover so that it isnt gawdy but matches, so that the paint wont wear off. but his car looks good now that he did that. he also did all the panneling in the back of the car. his doors are done in black too. let me know how yours goes.

hey- could you get me a picture of your friend's finished product? I'm still not sure of how it'll look... it'd be a great big help. Thanks.

P.S.- I'm thinking that if I do do it, then I'll get a C/F dash kit, to through in a little contrast against the blackk.... just an idea...

 

yea i can try he is still workin on it today hes got some more stuff to paint so it may be a few days before i get back to you on that but that shouldnt be a problem.

my hatch is soon to be all black inside, it has the ugly grey top half and headliner, i painted the oh s*** bar, the pillars, and the rear pillars around the window...wiht just regular krylon semi-gloss paint, it looks really nice, except one tiny spot where it got too heavy, but its at the bottom of the pillar and isnt noticable. i can try to get pics if you need them, but looks like you have enough to go by lol.

take the headliner out and rap some new fabric around it, i took my old sunbirds healiner out and rapd it in white vinal materal,looked good and its easy
