Default Are they legal?

well i had the great experience of getting my first ticket on monday. the cop asked me if i had been street racing (i guess cause of the way my car looks?!). told me to pop the hood (in only have an intake) and wrote me up a ticket for my intake and my headlights!! now, i have a complience card that says that the lights are for use on all public streets and highways. i showed it but got the ticket anyway. i was wondering if any of you guys know for sure whether they are or are not legal....let me know. thanks

What brand are they?
Can you scan the card and post it in here?

Also, what brand intake do you have?

Damn, sucks for you. From what Ive heard/been told, California has the stricktest laws as far as car control. Cops earn a living giving out tickets on the highway. Id fight it if I was you, at least the headlights anyway. And if you can, looking into your rights somehow. Find out whats legal and isnt, and then when/if a cop pulls you over, be prepared.

sounds like illegal search and seizure. he cant tell u to pop ur hood and write u a ticket for the intake. He needs a warrant to legally open any part of ur car and use it as evidence.... i believe

cali is the worst. if your car looks stock then they are harrassing you. you could use that. i mean, if you pop your hood, you should have a CARB sticker for the intake. if not THEN he can write a ticket. if you have the sticker then his ticket is BS
