what sub grill do you like?
#11
I'm always in favor of a low key additions so I'd go with the black grill. Now that everyone's mentioned it though, a custom set would be kinda cool. I don't know why I never thought of that before. Hmmm.... time to do some brainstorming~

you gotta love custom...
another idea ive thought about is just again building a front for the box to extend it about 2-3inches more and then making a custom cutout shape on the front around the sub and then cuting the back of the wood out to fit the bars in to go long ways or even up and down and then it would only take a small piece of wood to go around the back cutout areas to hold those bars inplace from the back. and of course id have to add some lighting inside the panel area to lite up the sub!
ive even thought about puting some kinda strips of cloth or tasles around the opening so when the bass is pumping the fabric is dancing or course that would all be trial and error.LOL

well I went with the black grill and I'm not disappointed at all. It actually looks better than what you see in the pic.
I also finally secured the sub in my truck so it's not sliding around. Went to lowe's bought 2 sets of hasps, mounted them and sub fits tight and won't slide around. If I ever need to get the spare out or anything else below the panel I can simply unlock the sub mounts, pull it out and have access like normal.
I mounted it back to where the amp is up against the back seat, but the amp itself isn't mounted to anything. Sub position does a good job of holding it in place, nothing tight, but fit.
I'll post some pics later
