Ok, the reason they are technically not street legal is because they haven't gone through the rigid emmissions testing and gotten the DOT approval that DC sports and other header companies have. This doesn't mean that it's a bad header, and that it wont pass emmisions. It just costs a lot of money and takes a lot of time for a company to get this approval. I've passed inspection with it on and had no check engine lights, rattling or other problems. The only problem I've had is a blown midway gasket, and it was an easy fix. They sent two more gaskets to me for $15 that were noticeably thicker and better. Just make sure you have everything tight when you install it and re-tighten a few weeks later because once it heats up I believe it loosens a bit when it breaks in.

Oh the coloring of the metal turning to bronze is natural. It's going to happen no matter what. The thing with the fingers touching it and the oils of it changing it's color; the reason it's bad is because if you touch it and start it up drive it around the heat will permanently leave the finger spots on the header. However I believe if you take it off and clean it (theres actually a DIY on here to clean headers I believe) then you can restore it to it's original shine... that might last a couple months if your lucky.

I just found this. I think its the same one. Its also cheaper. And no I have nothing to do with the website. I just wanted to pass on a good deal if someone needed it.

Oh, and I went through the checkout to see what shipping was. For that header its like $12 for ground. Just FYI.

Thought I would add a little piece to this since I'm about to replace my fifth... thats right fifth midway gasket in my header. My best guess is that the meet between the two pieces aren't perfectly flat, and thats why I keep blowing gaskets. I could go to a place and get it machined to be level. But doesn't make sense to spend the extra money on a header I thought was going to be reliable. As well as planning to turbo soon and will be taking it off anyway...

Maybe I was just the lucky soul to get a warped one [:@]
