Default To all you OKies

Hello crew,

I know we have some folks from OK here (one ED6 for sure) and I need some info regarding driving through the state. I moved cross country from VT going to San Diego and came into OK on the 40. Here's my question, throughout eastern OK, there were signs every ten miles or so that read "Do not drive into the smoke" <------what is this all about? I mean, is there really that much smoke from whatever fires that is swaths over roadways? Furthermore, do people really have issues with resisting whatever masichistic desires to drive into that smoke? Please, let me know what this is all about.

On that same note, your state has lovely people, but DAMP weather.

Oklahoma is really really flat for the most part. Fire starts, wind spreads it FAST. You can't see through the smoke. If you drive through it, you can't see **** and end up wrecking or going into oncoming traffic and you basically lose.
