Default Heater Controls only work on high?!

Okay, I put this in "off topic" because this is about a 99 (97-01) Toyota Camry. So, my problem is, is that the fan only works on HIGH. I encountered this before and it was just faulty resistors in the Climate Control Unit. Has anyone dealt with this and/or know how to fix it? Thanks!!!

Well, I can tell you that I've seen the same problem on 3 Dodge Grand Caravans. There is a resistor block on those that goes bad, so only one setting works (usually high). We had one van kill two of those resistor blocks in 6 months. On the Dodge, it's something you can EASILY remove and replace. You pull two screws and a plug and it's out. It's located under the dash, attached to the blower, behind the glove box. No clue where it would be on a Toyota, though.

It is my personal theory on the Dodge Caravans that people forget to replace the internal air filter. They get clogged with dust, so heat doesn't disperse from the blower assembly quickly enough, so the resistor block gets too hot and fails. We started replacing those filters more regularly and haven't had the problem again.

Just my 2 cents.
