He said he didnt mess with the map sensor...could it just happen all of a sudden like that?
He didnt get the cats from ford or anything they were universal from auto zone or something...

 

the cats from autozone might be your problem but i think the map sensor went bad cause when they do the ecu dumps extra fuel in the motor hence the glowing cats. are the exhaust manifolds glowing? and you might want to check and see if the map sensors vacum line is still on it won't work right if its come off. oh this might be a dumb question but did they install the cat the right way? if they got it on backwards it might not flow
