Also i have been meaning to look into Lamb of God, but i have not gotten arround to it yet.

 

I'm not a HUGE fan of their vocalist, but the rest of the band's talent more than makes up for it. They just played on Conan the other night, it was super bad assness!@!!

 

Im for anything, sometimes I like hip-hop, clasical, opera, heavy metal, just like paino playing, CLASSICS! are soo sick, umm drum and base, a little dance here and there, slow crap, alteritave...I like it all, except country, i cant stand it..Depends on my mood and what im doing, kind of day..ect

 

Pretty much if it has a guitar... i listen to it. Rap and all that crap I can't stand... no talent, except for some exceptions like Gym Class Heroes and what not. Rock, alt, punk, some emo, screamo, is where i'm at.

Relient K, A7X, TBS, Brand New, Breaking Benjamin, DragonForce, 30 Secs, RHCP, TSL, Yellowcard, Cute is what we aim for, bayside, halifax, all time low, RJA, the academy is..., motion city soundtrack, and the list goes on...

I play guitar and piano myself, been trying to start a band... kinda had an acoustic guitar band but my singer was talking about me behind my back so I told her that its over... esp since she was only singing and i was writing the music/lyrics/melody. I'm self taught, havent really been playing that long... but i can play a good amount of stuff.

 

I'm all about trance, house, progressive, breakbeats and some electro. I've actually been learning how to DJ that kind of music. I might post one of my mixes. I'll try to record it today. I also like death metal as well - children of bodom, soilwork, and the likes

i like real metal bands...no MCR is not metal...i hate emo music. my favorite genre is blackmetal. Blackmetal is truly the "hardest" type of music. search black metal on wikipedia and you will see why. I dont like when people think disturbed and godsmack are the heaviest bands. As of right now, blackmetal is heavier than any music created, including death metal, or speed metal. And i also hate hardcore

 

operating a "sound machine" is musical talent...iv been playing drums (and pretty much every other instrument casually aswell) for 11 of my 18years in rock bands and such...recently iv started getting into computer based music on the side and i can tell you its not easy. If you know of Beck, who is often called a musical genius, he is a multi-instrumentalist who uses computers alot in his music. And i challenge you to write music like his and groups/artists like Ratatat,morcheeba, massive attack ,RJD2, Nick Warren, Beck,Postal Service ,Champion, DJ Shadow...and dont say you would challenge them to play guitar, because id bet most of them can.

Personally i actually do like 95% of types of music...

Rock(and i use the term generally): red hot chili peppers (best band ever),TOOL ,coldplay, Hendrix, Audioslave, Rage against the machine, Mars Volta, Metric, modest mouse, pink floyd, nirvana, john mayer, jack johnson, james blunt, avenged sevenfold

hip hop: mos def, talib kweli, the roots, the game, Dr Dre, beastie boys, eminem

electronica/trance: (all of the listed above), Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk

country plays on the radio at work and i like it

and i also like alot of Ray Charles, Al green, Marvin Gaye, miles davis, BB king and stuff...blues and jazz and stuff

 

i like some metal and techno, but ima rap head... theirs nothin like hearin ur subs bump to some old school snoop, 2pac and ice cube
