get an eight core processor mac.
get an eight core processor mac.
For RAM you want AT LEAST 1GB, but since you're gonna use integrated GPU (no memory) so you might want more
i see that i havent looked at everything as much as i should have...lol,looks like i havea bit more thinking to do about some stuff.I see what your saying about the case maybe getting on my nerves,i was thinking about that actually when i was looking at the ones they had.
ya.. its just kinda like a car so much stuff to choose from and always trying to find the best for cheap. but the thing is if something goes wrong ur not gunna be not going to work for a week.
i just hope i can get enough money to get more memory but i dont know i might just stick with what i had on the original list....i think i still might change the hdd to seagate though.
BTW, I just got another bright idea. Why don't you just get a dell? It's not cheaper to build your own computer anymore. Unless you're building a gaming machine.
I have been watching this thread for several hours, but have not had the time to post. I have never seen so much computer misinformation. The computer as originally described is a fine computer. Buy it and enjoy. It will work fine for gaming and any other use you might find for it. A couple of years ago it would have been a dream machine.
The ASUS board has a lotof upgrade ability built in. You can add HDDs, Vid cards, etc. at any later date. Don't sweat it. ASUS makes some fine boards.
I have not seen whatOS you have picked. Do not install Vista. It is not ready for prime time yet. Unless you have the need of networking multiple computers WinXP Home will work best. If you buy your own OEM CD then you can transfer/restore when the time comes. If you buy a Dell the system restore is on the HDD only. If your HDD dies you are SOL.
Do not be afraid to go with Western Digital HDDs. They work fine. I have installed several on my customers machines and have yet to have a problem. I don't know what that one guy is talking about.
PM me if you need assistance setting up your computer. I have built up dozens.
Don't sweat the petty stuff, don't pet the sweaty stuff.
