I agree somewhat, but they can make great power still yet. heads, cam, intake manifold, headers, exhaust, and tuning can make some great power with the LT1

 

true, but i gurantee that engine came out of one of the "pimped out" 96 Impala SS's, after the previous owner completley beat it to death...probably got a new one, and they rebuilt this one for the Chevelle. All speculation, but i wouldnt doubt it.

yah my dads 97 LT1 made well over 365 whp on just a few basic mods. Its a good motor, just I would rather have the LS1 if i was spending my money on a modern day GM V8.

 

I agree the LS1 is alot better engine. Aslong as you get one from 1999 on.
