some of you may run S2K filters because they are the only ones recently produced that are made by Toyo-Roki as apposed to the cheaply made frams. filters!

so...i walked in to my dealer...and ask for an S2k filter...(not more than 20 around here, so i didnt know if he would have to over night it or not) and hes like sure...and shows me a fram, and an OEM roki...and hes like "the fram filter will fit perfect, i ordered it yesterday for an S2K that came in, and we didnt have an OEM, the canister is a tiny bit bigger as you can see, but it still fits, cars still on the road...all that good stuff" and im like, "well, frams are cheaper made then the Toyo-Roki made OEM's" and hes like "you know, im surprised you knew that these were the only non fram made ones now" and im like "yea, thats why i dont really want a fram, if i did, id got across the street and get one from Auto Zone for a few dollars cheaper lol" and hes like "chuckle...yea thats true" and im like, can you sell me that one? hes like "sure can...and here, here a drain plug washer" im like "SCORE, i need one of those!" and we chuckled...and he proceeds to tell me that Honda pretty much discontinued making the OEM s2k filter because they discont. the part number, and never added a new number. so, im not sure if they are done for good, forcing every one to buy frams [:'(] or whats up...

any one else know anything about it?

Honda now has a contract with FRAM for OEM filters...

why bother if we have K&N filters?

 

Cause i get filters from my stepfather for free, and he only carries toyota and honda in stock
