Thieves are so stupid
Quick Edit. Unless the perp opened your door, grabbed the keys, opened window, shut & locked door, and threw the keys back in to the car through the window....Was your window open?
lmao he didnt even shatter the taillight. all he busted was the civic reflector that goes across the trunk lid. the hatchbacks have the pin on the hatch lid and the actual locking mechanism on the frame of the car . imma imagine because i have a quick trunk release near my gas door opener. dunno. but yeah lol underneath there is just bare exposed metal. no holes to put tiny objects in in hopes of breaking in. and even if their were the pins there. so thats basically useless lol. thats a fine example of a stupid bastid. lol
Yea, I was aware of that, just wasn't sure if 96civicdx was or not. I think it's a great idea. I have never "seen" it on any other cars except Honda/Acura. However, I don't really get the opportunity to play with door handles and locks on other cars that often.
keys were in the ignition
hey bro you should invest in some flood lights with motion sensors. You would be surprised how light will scare off a lot of people. They are cheap and effective. Sucks man hope it doesnt cause your dad too much trouble.
The homeless dope head tweeker who prowls the yards on our street is a daytime thief, so our floods and motion sensors are useless. I've given up on the bear banger idea, don't need the liability. I've considered taking the day off work and waiting for him, but who knows what time/day he'll show up.
Dad got all his replacement parts in after an exhausting inventory process to find out what was gone.
Then someone robbed the house next door. Again.
This is crazy guys. This neighborhood used to be one of those older, rich people neighborhoods that was quiet and crime free. Then a few years back, someone robbed the priest and his wife across the street. They moved. Then someone hit a house 3 down and across the street. They moved 2 years later. Then someone hit the house next door and took EVERYTHING. Then someone hit my sister's car and stole all of my old audio equipment out of it. We think someone tried to get our house a couple of years ago but the dog chewed them up and got beat up in the process. Then someone hit the empty house around the corner. Got nothing but cut up on broken glass. Then came my dad's van, and a few days later the next door neighbors again. They can't be happy about that.
Geez, **** this economy. Brings out all the thieves. And **** having to sleep. If it were up to me, I would never sleep and I'd patrol the house at night armed with a .357 and a 12 gauge. One of those would do the trick.
