I am looking for any ideas on what may be going on with my car!!! First, when I start it, it idles really rough for about a minute. The check engine light flashes several times as something is clicking from what sounds like the glove box. After several flashes the light stays on steadily and the clicking stops. When I put it in gear it doesn't want to go anywhere. Also, the RPM and temp gauges are not working. Any suggestions on where to start?

Stop at Autozone, O'reillys, or Advance Auto Parts and they will scan it for free and tell you why the ck. engine light is on, what the code is, and what has to be done to fix it. Then if you're not able to do it yourself, you can tell the shop you go to what is wrong.
