Default 05 EX - Bolt threaded out near oil pan

05 EX with 186,000 miles. Head gasket and machining done 2 months ago. Last timing belt was at 106,000.

Noticed this bolt was pinned up against the a/c pulley. Doesn't look like a Honda bolt and has a large washer on it preventing it from being screwed in.

What's going on here? Any comments on the surrounding oil leak would be helpful as well. HG repair included valve cover gasket.

Doesn't look original, but seem like a modified timing belt cover bolt.

Oh I think I'm following. The lower corner of the TB is missing? Someone used this setup to secure it instead of getting a new TB cover?

I believe the cover bottom corner piece is broke, so someone use a bigger washer for leverage to hold it in. Can't remove/replace the bolt without removing the crank pulley, and definitely will hear grinding noise when loose.

Is a new TB cover required? Or should I just tighten the screw and call it a day?

You could try just tightening it. Be careful not to break that sensor nearby, without it the engine will not run at all.
