I have a 99.97% stock (an intake) 1994 Honda Civic DX Sedan 5-Speed, its the stock engine (D15B7 I believe).

Does anyone happen to know what the maximum speeds for each gear are (to the redline). It doesn't have a tach and it would be nice to know when each gear ends until I can find a used cluster with a tach. Thanks in advance for any help.

 

geez, its been awhile, but i remember 2nd to 3rd is right at 60mph. thats all i remember off the top of my head.[&:]

Since I wanted to find out fast - instead of waiting for the owners manual to arrive, I did some calculations using an online RPM/Speed calculator. Not sure how accurate the values really are...

I found the Max Horsepower on Edmunds (5900RPM), and the redline for the car I believe is 6800RPM.

D15B7 Engine
1st Speed = Max HP @ 5900RPM , 2nd Speed = Redline @ 6800RPM

1st - 30, 34 mph
2nd - 55, 64 mph
3rd - 83, 96 mph
4th - 107, 124 mph (Governed around 112mph I believe)
5th - 139, 160 mph (Governed around 112mph I believe)

pretty darn close, though the redline MIGHT be 6600. cant remember off the top of my head.
