1994 Civic rain water leak - need help
I have a 1994 Civic Dx (2 door coupe) (no sunroof) with the following rain water leak problems. These leaks MAINLY occur after long rains (several hours), although a short hard rain may cause some wetness:
1) This is the biggest problem. The drivers side floor becomes soaked. Mainly on the side of the floor closest to the door (from the front of the floor all the way to where the seat starts). Often the water will run to the floor behind the seat and puddle up.
2) Sometimes, but not always, the drivers side seatbelt will be wet after one of these events.
3) Recently, a new leak formed on the passenger side. Basically the passenger seat gets wet, and often the floor behind that seat.
On the drivers side. I get the impression that the water is coming in multiple points of entry, since often times the floor will be wet, but the seatbelt won't be.
I figure I probably need to change the door seals, but I get the feeling it may be coming in somewhere else. After a google search, it sounds like a common problem is clogged windscreen drains (under the plastic elements below the wipers).
Does anyone have an experience with this?
