1993 Civic - rain water leak
Hi, I am new to the forum and sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.
I have a 1993 3 door Civic - that lets in a substantial amount of rain water - I have seen this problem mentioned elsewhere but I cant find a solution to the problem.
The bottom of the boot gets flooded and the back seat gets soaked and the carpets on both the passenger and driver's sides of the car are saturated. The only clue as to how this water is getting in through a small trickle near the boot. However, I don't believe this is the only point of ingress. Any advice given will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I have no idea how the rear section of the hatches are but I've had a similar problem with my coupe a while back. I had water leaking in to my trunk for the longest time and I couldn't find where it was. Finally got tired of it and decided I was going to tear my trunk apart to find the leak. It only took me a few seconds to find the problem. I pulled the passenger side carpet cover in the trunk and found a drain tube that ran from the roof, down the c-pillar and drained water out from behind the bumper. What happened was the end of the tube just before it drains out side of the car was clogged up with a bunch of gunk. So the water would back up and leak out of the tube and into my trunk. It was a quick, easy fix by just cleaning the tube and I haven't had issues since.
Here's a diagram of what I'm talking about. I know this is a different car but same concept. The red line shows where the tube runs behind the carpet. The blue circle just shows the general area.
Not sure if the hatches have a similar drain for the roof but it may be worth a shot to look behind the panels in the hatch for drain tubes.
