I would start with spark plugs and wires. Make sure plugs are properly gapped. (You'll probably see the little round spark plug gap tool at the counter at your local auto parts store.)
What kind of mileage does it have? It's possible that the timing belt jumped a tooth, but it's also possible that the ignition system (distributor, plugs, wires) is old and worn out.
