Default 2001 Clutch/Shifting Issues

I have a 2001 Civic LX. Recently, after letting it sit for a week, my clutch started engaging almost immediately after letting it off the floor but was driveable. After a couple of weeks I am now unable to shift it into gear when the car is running, it will shift into gear when I turn the car off. There is slight resistance when I let off the clutch, but little resistance on the pedal other than that. Is it most likely a slave or master cylinder? I'm constantly learning as I teach myself how to work on the car, just haven't run into clutch issues yet. Appreciate any feedback!
