Hello, This is my first time to this forum, hope all are well. I'll get right to it, I have a 2002 civic 2 dr dx and by "buddy" told me he could replace my AC compressor so I let him..... NOW my engine light, abs light, are on and my green key light is flashing!! Its really had to start but it will start it just runs like its in somekinda limp mode. when I hook my code reader to my DLC it says communication error...WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!?!?! Thanks in advance

 

it sounds like your friend fried the ECU, if you cant communicate with the computer that means its bad. you can get a used ECU for around $50 US dollars. you are also going to have to get your keys reprogramed for the new computer which is another $50-$100 dollars. i would suggest you limp the car to a the honda dealer swap the computer then have the keys programed otherwise your going to have to tow it there.
