Question 2003 Honda Civic Copue EX Auto lock/Power windows problem

Hi All,

From today morning I having a problem with my auto lock and power window on the driver side door.

When I press the unlock button on my remote the door does not open. I tried with my remote several times to open the door some times it opens and sometimes not. I have to open the door with the key.

Also my power window on the driver side door is not working, when I press the button the glass does not come down (the passenger side seems to be fine).

I would greatly appreciate if some one can suggest me a solution to fix this problem.

Gemdex.

I would start by replacing the battery in the transmitter. Another possibility is a faulty transmitter. Keep your eye on the red LED of the transmitter. It should illuminate whenever you press a button. You may find that when you press a button, the red LED does not always illuminate and that this correlates with the failure of the doors to lock. If so, replace the transmitter.

Can you hear the window motor working to roll the window down but failing to do so?

The red light is illuminating when I press the lock or unlock button. The **** on driver side door comes up half way and stops, so I have to open the lock manually with the key.

I don't hear the window motor working on the driver side door when I press the button the glass does not come down. The passenger side window is working.

Do the door locks all work using the switch on the door? If not, based on the information, I think you have two bad lock actuators and one bad window motor. You'll need to remove the door panels to fix. You can verify these ideas. When the door panel is removed, check that the actuators and motor receive battery voltage when they are switched ON.

The passenger side of the lock opens with the switch but not the driver side.

I don't know how to open the door panels, I would greatly appreciate if you can kindly post some pictures or steps for it.
