Default 2005. Airbag faded on passenger side dashboard?!

Hello. I bought a new 2005 Honda Civic 2dr coupe about 6 months ago. It now has about 6000 miles on it. I was wondering if anyone has the same problem as I do. On my dashboard where you see the passenger-side airbag....well...it has faded and is discolored from the rest of the dashboard. Has anyone had this problem?? Thanks!!!

I haven't had a problem (of course, my car is a completely different generation). Believe it or not, the individual pieces of the dash board are produced by different companies and they all have to go together perfectly at the plant. Seeing that your car is still new and likely under warranty, I think the best thing to do is to take it back to the dealer and demand that piece be replaced. I don't know how involved that is, as with the 5th gens that panel is actually attached to the air bag unit.

Good luck!

I have the same year but I'm not experiencing discolorization or fading. My interior is black. What is yours? Maybe you see from a different angle or something.

In either case, take it back and ask the dealer to look at it.

Yeh, talk to the dealer, 6 months shouldn't make it fade.
