First of all I am new to the forum and I would like to thank you in advance for reading and any insight you can add...

My wife was driving to work tonight and she called me to tell me check enin light had come on. No change in th way the car is riding or driving. Also, a green light is flashing on the dash, it's a circle next to the D to show what gear your in. I am assuming it is the same light that I normally on there but is now flashing. I didn't see it and i rarely pay attention to the color of the indicator lihts.

I was hoping someone could tell me if they are related and if it's safe to drive home and I can pull the codes when she get here in the morning.

I should also mention that the car has 112,000 miles on it with all original equipment...

What the heck does the green flashing light mean??
