2007 EX Coupe Dim tail lights

2007 EX Coupe Dim tail lights
I have been driving a 2007 Honda Civic EX Coupe for a few years now. The tail lights that automatically come one when i turn my headlights on are incredibly dim. It almost looks like they aren't on. My blinker, brake and reverse lights work just fine. It has been like this for sometime now. Is this a simple just get new bulbs fix or may this be pointing to something else? I feel like the bulbs would burn out instead of dim when they needed to be replaced. Am I missing something? Thanks for any advice.

Check all the wiring that goes to the tail lights?
When was the last time all the bulbs were replaced?
