Default 2008 Honda Civic Cracked Engine Block and now Bad heating core

I recently had to have the engine block replaced by Honda due to a crack in the block which was causing me to lose coolant and making the car over heat. Got that fixed along with the engine mounts and not even a week later the car started over heating and I was replacing the coolant multiple times a day. I have coolant leaking (gushing) into the cab of the car on the driver side and passenger side under the dash.

Could they have caused a problem with the heating core when they were replacing the engine block? Or could this be a new issue that just popped up.
