He'd still remember to get it done, he just doesn't want his car looking ghetto with a maintence light on constantly.

 

Get out your user manual and review the maint. and care pages.

You will be amazed to see that they don't really tell you to do much of anything till after 100k or so, and after that not for almost another 100k.

That light just reminds old ladies to remember to change their oil and rotate their tires.

 

In other words light annoys him. Well, I think that's exactly it's purpose
Anyway, I personally try not to overload my memorywith the things that are not necessary to remember and let the light do its job. And, btw, if light is constantly on, you are better off doing maintenance NOW, even if it just means changing your oil [8D]
