93 civic cruise control stopped working?
i tested the wires leading to the main cc unit, all wires tested good, but the yel./blu. wire. I have 4.64volts-0.15 when I turned 1 wheel. it says it should be 5v-0v. also tested main power switch and didn't have continuity on B-C or D-E switch off. Any help or ideas will be greatly appreciated as I want to take a trip in this car.

If manual transmission, check the clutch switch. Very common for the rubber pad to fall off, the switch doesn't get pressed, and cruise won't engage because it thinks someone is pressing the clutch.
Also check the vacuum line to the unit under the hood. This could be the problem if the cruise light comes on when you press SET but it doesn't actuate the throttle.
4.64 going to 0.15 is logically the same as 5 going to zero. The test passed.

hey does anybody know what year cars I can find a cruise control unit, that will fit my 93 civic vtec auto? can I get one out of a manual car? my son has a 98 civic manual, his cruise works, could I swap his just to make sure that is the part I need?

I have found that adding led lighting to your civic can cause the cruise control to stop working. does this affect all years? mines a 93 and recently added a spoiler with led's. I tried unplugging the wires to the brake light on the spoiler but it still didn't work. would it help to hook the 3rd brake light up?(the one in back window)
any suggestions are welcome
