The dimmer only affects the dash lights. If the tail lights come on but not the dash lights it's probably the dimmer. The dimmers do go bad fairly often so it would be good to grab one off a parts car and have it for a spare.

Do the yellow front corner lights come on? If they do switch is probably OK but you may have broken wires or bad grounds in the trunk.

Ok, it only took like 15 mins, i took off the combo switch from the civic i got, and took out from the del sol, put in the one from the civic into the del sol. (ie i replaced the broken with the working one!)

Still nothing, so i double checked the fuses, (i don;t have the fuse patterns for the del sol, i do for the civic, assuming these are the same...) and there was no fuse in where there should have been one located for : "10A tail light, instrument light, etc" but i put in a 10a, and nothing.

The thing that got me is that there was nothing there, i sware these were all working properly until a few weeks ago.

The only thing that changed was that i did a disc brake conversion. (in those few weeks, but since the brake lights were unaffected and everything was a exact swap in/out i don't think this affected anything.)

I'm running to my buddies house now to check to see if i'm getting any power with the check light.

So,i've switched the combo switch and checked all fuses. (i physically added and removed fuses to blank spots to see if thatworked also,... nothing!) and i even replaced each old fuse with a brand new one, and nothing.

Any suggestions now?

non-functional combination switch is really common on these cars... try doing this on both switches to see if they are good or bad for sure. They might both be bad, which isn't all that surprising.

That can't be his problem, dimmer doesn't affect tailllights.

del Sol dimmer is inside of the gauge cluster so it's kinda a pain in the *** to grab one if you don't need it
