Default '94 Civic will start, but ...

I was driving it and while stopped at a light, it suddenly cut off. I restarted it and drove it for another 15 minutes without any problems. Then 8 hours later it would start, but then immediately turn off. Could it be a fuel pump or sensor? Any ideas or suggestions before I pay to have it towed and looked at?

Main relay could be on its way out.

Is the CEL ON? Do you hear the fuel pump priming briefly when the key is turned to ON (II)? Have you checked for bright blue spark at each of the plugs?
