Default 94 DX Idles Very Low

I have a 94 Civic DX, and I just put a new distributor in it about 250 miles ago. Everytime I stop for any reason, it seems like the car is going to die, and the RPM's go down to about 400. I have heard that it is supposed to idle around 600 or 700. Any idea why this is so low?

Its fine unless it stalls out and die's. Mine will idle around 500 sometimes. Dont worry about it unless it starts to die when it gets that low.

I had the same problem with mine and I didn't worry about it till it started dieing. It started and I looked into it and found out that my fast idle control valve was worn out. There is a plastic adjusting screw inside of it that I had to screw back in cause it loosened it self all the way out. Its some where to start looking if this happens to you.

That happened to my car a while ago. The problem ended up being either a spark plug or wire because i changed both of them at the same time.
