Hello,

I just ordered a "working pull" from the virtual online junkyard called eBay. It should be here by Friday or Sat.

It came to $70.00 including shipping via priority mail. It seems like a reasonable price for replacing the current ECU for potential fix or trouble shooting.

I'll let you know.

Meanwhile, any other thoughts or suggestions?

thanks in advance

Hello again. I put the used ECU into the car and still no start and no spark from the tower of the coil.

I jumpered the test connector to see if it threw and codes and the CEL light comes on solid with the ignition switch on. No blinks

battery voltage at the coil with the ignition in on and start position.

You suggested the remanufactured distributor could be bad? Do they really have that bad quality control? Just asking before taking it back for testing. I guess I could have the old one tested as well?

What other sensors create a no start/spark condition if they fail.

MAP? all the sensors in the distributor.... coolant sensor (checked that by disconnecting it and tried starting)

Did I miss something with the main relay?

HELP! this is driving me crazy...
