Dang, Ron J used red font (only after MK reiterated). I'm thinking pull the codes, man.

Sorry guys im just a woman, was just trying to get a hint of what it might be and the cost, before i took it back to my friend..

You are being sexist. A woman should be able to pull CEL codes as well (or better) than a man.

It could be just something unplugged or plugged in wrong. So I estimate the cost to repair to be somewhere between zero and the ACV of the car.

This is my problem as well. Bought my 1998 LX Standard a few months ago, this has been happening ever since. Cleaned IACV yesterday, idle is more steady but still has the stutter when barely pressing gas or letting off gas. Anyone else have ideas? Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere.

If the pedal seems physically sticky coming off of idle, it could be dirt in the throttle body making the throttle plate stick.

Thanks for the reply. I cleaned the throttle body when I cleaned the IACV Sunday, so that shouldn't be it. I worry that it could be a TPS problem, but it seems like that would be always evident. More research ahead I suppose.
