Default 98 misses at idle and under load?

Hey guys, sorry for not posting in a while.

O.K. She has been running fine, then this morning I hop in to go to work and she has a miss. I can feel the engine shake while sitting in the car. I back her out of the parking spot and start off to work. She misses under load too.

What can cause this to happen overnight?

1998 Civic EX D16y8

P.S. Everything is stock.

Have you looked under the hood? Mice can eat the spark plug wires or other wiring. Idle the engine and disconnect fuel injectors one at a time to try and locate which cylinder is not working.

ok, I went and got plugs, wires and a new cap and rotor. She cranked fine, drove around the apt complex fine. Then right as I was going to pull into my parking spot she died. I tried to crank her and the starter would spin, but no cranking. So now I have to figure out if its a matter of no spark, or no fuel. I know she is getting air so that at least is not an issue.

Any ideas? I would try the injectors, but I need her running to do that right?

Just spent about 30 minutes going over all the connections under the hood. Took the cap and button off checked them out, reinstalled them. Checked that the wires are in fact routed correctly. I can hear the fuel pump prime when the key is turned (side note: half a tank of gas).

Is there a way to check if fuel is getting to the engine without the motor being able to crank? I.E. pull on of the injectors and see if it squirts fuel or something dangerous like that? LOL

Check for sparks first. It's sounding like it may be a bad coil.

What could cause a coil to go bad so fast like that?

Last time i changed all the stuff you listed i forgot to disconnect the battery first. Fried my coil. Dont know if thats what happened to you, just food for thought.
