Just got me a 99 civic hatchback, that had a prior aftermarket radio installed and also had an aftermarket car alarm installed.

Anyways I just upgraded the radio to a double din etc etc but a wire harness and installed only what was needed. I'm pretty sure I left the dimmer wire alone and insulated. In any case the dash light hasn't worked since I bought the car and I though it was either a fuse or the prior owner just wired something wrong etc etc.

Last night I noticed that if I press the alarm button to activate/deactivate alarm the dash lights Light up during the alarm activate chime sound so the lights do work but just not actual driving! Any thoughts ?
