I have a 2014 Civic. Bought it about a month ago. Rebuilt title. It was hit on passenger side mostly front. I knew the compressor pulley had a bearing going down because of this. Bought clutch kit and the compressor housing is broke where the c clip sits to hold the pulley. I really don’t want to buy another compressor if I don’t have to. It worked fine. But I’ll do whatever I need to. Prices are all over the place. Not sure how I feel about rebuilt ones.
Anyways, is it possible (or feasible) to replace the front housing cover? I was thinking about buying a used compressor off eBay (they are around $60) and putting that front housing cover on mine since I know it works well. Is this a good idea? Should I buy another. Any options I’m not thinking of? Thanks for the help.
