Default alternator bolt and transmission fluid questions

My alternator is missing two of the bolts.. how do I get in there so I can replace these mounting bolts.. the alternator is on the drivers side by the engine, kind of lower and hard to get at.

Also how do I check the tranny fluid levels? any easy way or tips?? I heard there is two plugs underneath or one bolt on top I'd have to take off and check by hand..

Thanks

well the tranny plug you pull the upper side bolt and stick your finger in and feel for fluid
if in doubt... go ahead and drain the fluid and replace it with OEM fluid.

and for the alternator bolt... theres only 2 bolts that hold the alternator on.. the bottom pivot bolt and the top adjustment slide bolt.... or are you talking about the alternator bracket bolts going into the block?

but for any of those bolts you can buy new ones from any honda dealership.

On the right side (outside) of the transmission, near the back, behind where the right CV axle goes in, there is a bolt with a 17mm hex head. This is the fill plug. With the car on a level surface, the fluid should be up so it almost runs out of the hole with the fill plug removed. To drain the transmission, find the bolt on the bottom with the 3/8 inch square hole in the head; use a standard 3/8 inch socket wrench with no socket to remove it. It takes slightly more than 2 quarts to drain and refill. Use Honda manual transmission fluid from a dealer or 10W40 motor oil. Do not use 80/90W gear oil.

I will check tomarrow but the guy said "2 of the 3 bolts are missing." I had bought universal alternator bolts from auto zone but I think going to a dealer and getting em is better.

I will check the tranny, I had it drained/filled about 2 weeks ago.. they used 75w-90 gear oil.. is it better to use 10w-40 motor oil, whats the difference?

wow 75w-90 Get it out it will tear your syncor's out it is way to think of a oil that is for heavy duty 4x4 and stuff
put 10w-30 or some type of very thin motor oil or HONDA mt fluid from dealer

its best to use OEM honda MTF fluid in the tranny. many people have problems with grinding after switching to standard fluid and have to switch back to OEM fluid.
i only suggest oem mtf fluid.
