The appendix of my engine has ruptured - help!
I have a 1996 civic SI, VTEC 1.64L, 208,000km. The VTEC controller "valve spoon" is leaking oil like a sieve.
This valve regulates the oil pressure when the VTEC engages; it is located on the engine block near the distributor. It's consists of two parts sandwiched together. One part is mounted on the engine block and one is bolted to the other half, with a gasket in between the two. The removable part has an o-ring. This o-ring is shaped like a crazy figure 8 (sorry, I don't have pics). The o-ring on my part is cracked, thus oil just pours out of the engine.
I called Honda and they do not sell the o-ring; they sell the entire part and the gasket. The entire part will cost me nearly $500CDN. I don't want to have to pay that kind of money for a part when something as simple as a new o-ring would fix the problem.
Does anyone know where I can find the o-ring for a vtec controller valve spoon? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Let's see... Canadian Si = USDM EX.

It's part 11 on this diagram. $12 USD.

I don't think Majestic is allowed to ship parts out of the USA though. Note that the Honda part number is 15825-P2M-005. (Officially, it's a "filter" not a "gasket" since it has a filter screen made into it.) Any Honda dealer would be able to order it for you by that number. It should also be available from third party parts stores though it might only come as part of a larger gasket kit.
