Default ATF-Z into my CVT trans

I changes my transmission fluid about 10k miles ago and it was ATF-Z fluid that was given by the sales person in honda house. Recently, I noticed that my 97 honda civic hx's transmission slip (a little bit) every time when I stop the car. It doesn't slip when I set the gear to neutral. I just realized that it is a CVT type of tranni on my car.

Will using the AFT-Z on my CVT tranni damages it?

I just change the fluid to CVT fluid today. I noticed that CVT fluid is a little thinner than the AFT-Z fluid. And, I recall from my Machine Design class that fluid property (viscosity) will effect the life of gear and pinion.

I put regular ATF fluid in my cvt trans as well and it started. Apparantly only cvt fluid should go into cvt trans. I would just flush out the atf and put in cvt
