b16b sensor identification...
ok, got the b16b in the car. using the stock d16y7 harness. already taken care of the iacv plug switch, and the other sensor on the intake manifold switch (pictured below, anyone tell me just what sensor that is???) anyways, couple sensor questions. first, on the b16b, there is a sensor of some sort on the back side of the engine right above the oil pressure sender. it has a single wire plug that goes to it. what is it and how to i hook that up to the stock wiring harness. second....on the d16y7, there is a sensor by the crank pully. a wire runs up the side of the motor then there is a connector on the back side of the motor right where the valve cover and timing belt cover meet. what is it, and where do i hook up the plug that went to that on the new motor. also, on the new motor, there is no place to hook the evap canister line. it use to go to a sensor on the old motor, now what do i do with it?
ok so i figured out with more reaserech in a different section of this forum that the sensor by the crank of the d16y7 is the ckf sensor, and someone there posted the mod that you have to do to it so i got that once covered.
I thought the 1-wire sensor IS the oil pressure switch.
Maybe the 2-wire sensor is the knock sensor??
Just saying B16B or D16Y7 isn't enough. They're still different from year to year.

99 b16b and 98 d16y7. i did some research at the honda dealership and found out the one wire sensor with the back wire with the red strip is the knock sensor and must be added to the harness bwcause the 99 d16y7 didnt have it. i think ive already got the harness nice and wired up. pluged in the ecu and no little poof of smoke. i found a ton of write ups and wire identifications and pinouts for different ecu's. ill be posting all of it a little later when i get some time to scan them. so other people doing the swap can use them
