Default bad screeching noise after newely installed head

well i got the head back on my gsr, got my new timing belt, timed it, and fired it up, i got a horrible screeching sound from the motor, i believe i have it timed right (hoping its not valves bending), anyone know what this sound could be????? and i know that its not a belt.

Are you sure the belts are installed properly? Where is the noise coming from and can you describe the screech?

sounds like its coming from around the distrubutor/stater area. and sounds like a car that is screeching to a stop
