Default Best fuel for second generation civic?

Hello all
I have just aquired a 1981 Civic and the (Greek) reg papers say 'benzine' for the fuel type. Could someone please advise which is the best fuel type to maintain the engine life of this lovely car?!?

Thanks in advance for your replies..

Most likely just plain old 89 octane unleaded will do nicely. No need to put premium in it.

Europe's octane rating system is different. You want gasoline (aka "benzine") that is equivalent to USA 87 octane. I think that is a 93 rating there. Higher octane will also work, but it is a waste of money.
