I was referring to the ignition wires running between the ECU and coil. As you mention, these wires are not called spark plug wires, but if they or the connector at the coil are faulty, misfiring can result.

The OP should get the crank sensor working solid before even thinking about whether the timing is going to be right.
I agree. Fixing the CKP sensor is the number one priority. Then go from there.

You probably need to remove the valve cover. If so, I'd recommend that you replace the valve cover gasket.

I've been stalling my butt off doing this, I really don't want to mess any more things up. Although in the mean time I did replace my mounts and the front one was busted but i still think my car is still doing this crazy mysterious problems.
