Car Not starting... HELP!!!
I have a 99 civic SI and i was reseting my check engine light for the first time by disconnecting the battery and when i did the car will no longer start. The car has a python alarm and lojack installed. Not sure if this makes a difference, but had no issues with it starting before i did thing. Everything seems to work... lights come out, noises, etc. But when i try to start the car the starter has no response. What do i need to check?? Let me know.
thanks,
Jordan

It has to have something to do with either the alarm or lojack. Call lojack & see what they say. As for the alarm that might be one of the features If the battery is disconnected the car won't start. You would have consult your owners manual on it or call the company. My Jeep had an aftermarket alarm on it when I bought it & it would do the same thing except you didn't have to disconnect the battery. It would just decide to not start. That was the first thing I did was get rid of it. The factory alarm is good enough.

Then I would check the alarm. I'm not that up on aftermarket alarms but some of them act strange. There are so many different features you can get with them.
Does it crank just not fire? It so my Jeep had a wire that was hooked to one injector that I'm guessing grounded the injectors so they wouldn't work. Once I unhooked that I was able to override the alarm. Within a few days I had the whole thing taken out & it found the closet garbage can.
