check engine light after trans swap.
hey guys i just did an auto to manual trans swap and the second day after i got it done it threw a check engine light.
it drives fine and there is no knocking or anything of that nature. i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what might have caused that. thanks alot.

I put a new 5speed ecu in from a 99ex that is why i dont understand whats wrong it drives perfect and the check engine like came 2 days later. should i take it to autozone and see if a code pops up? would that help the problem?

i'd clear it first to see if it wasn't just some random CEL
clear the code by resetting the ECU (remove backup fuse from under hood fuse box for like 5 minutes. plug it back in, start the car, don't touch the gas pedal at all, and let it idle for 5 minutes. after that, you're good to go)
see if the code comes back
if it doesn't come back... problem solved
it it comes back, get it scanned and go from there
