Hey all,

So I'm in the process of buying a used car from a private seller, took it in for an inspection and it turns out the airbags and SRS system were deployed at some point, requiring a ~$3000 repair cost. The owner wasn't aware of it (or so he says), and the car checks out clean for any CarProof accident history, same with his auto insurance provider (guy claims it was a complete surprise to him). He's offered to deduct the cost of all the repairs from the sale, but I'm just considered about how safe the car is, if it really is post-accident.

Does anyone have any experience with SRS repair, and how effectively the safety measures are restored?
