civic door handles breaking
Have any of you guys had problems with your door handles breaking? the inner casing to the door handle breaking so the latch won't stay in it? Just wondering because i Just ordered a new one and wasn't sure if anyone was going to need help doing it or wanted me to write up a DIY for it? i have a 95 civic ex sedan btw
dito what part are you talking about?
i know the outter door handles seem to be oftenly busted, mine comes out on one side on my passenger side. but it still works fine so ive left it alone...
but i think it just depends on how ruff you are with your door handles. me personaly i pull the outter handle afew inches and then grab the top of the door to open it all the way... its only a piece of plastic that your using to pull open a heavy door.... of course its gonna fail after to much use..

the inside casing to the door. When you open your door there is an inside casing that a hinge is pushed into. Mine broke once. Then when i replaced it it wore down and doesn't work and i wasn't sure if lots of people have the same problem. I have replaced it with one from the junkyard but it was no good. So i bought a brand new one.
