i have a 92 honda civic lx with the z6 motor, and every time i get on it the check engine light will come on (like at 5,000rpm) but if i drive normal then it will not come on. car runs fine with the engine light on but i am just wonder what i could be. if anyone has any info at all please let me know!!

 

Does your car once the light come on loose power if so its going into "limp mode" and there are a lot of things that can be.

 

Will the light stay on after it comes on or does it go back off. If it stays on or if you can make it come on, then go by an Autozone and have them to check what code it is.

 

i have the same problem... and my light once it comes on... it just stays on. I never knew what it was, i just thought it was the speed sensor, now im going to have to run by autozone to have it checked

 

no my car doesnt loose any power when the check engine light comes on and it will stay on intil i shut the car off, but if i turn it back on and drive normal the engine light wont come on.
