Default Clutch Issues HELP!!!!

The clutch or hydraulic system has instantly gone to $hit over the past week. My clutch engages about 1 inch off the floor and disengages about .5 inch off the floor. It never used to do this and it's made it a real pain in the a$$ to drive. I think that the master or slave cylinder are gone, maybe both, but I'm not sure. Anyone had this before??

It's a 95 Civic CX

Check the fluid level first, if it's gone, find the leak. Fluid level OK means replace the master cylinder. Slave cylinders just leak when they are bad, they don't lose power.

If you've already found the fluid gone and refilled it, there might be air in the lines now. And of course the leak is still there.

Just checked it out. The clutch resevoir is bone dry and the slave cylinder is wet looking and there is a stain which I'm assuming is brake/clutch fluid on the front splash guard by the slave bleeder. Just ordered a new slave cylinder for $30.
