Clutch/Power Steering Fluid Change?
i didnt want to remove the hose on mine and deal with a potential mess so what i did was bought 5 pints of the Honda P/S fluid and a turkey baster. i removed old fluid from the reservoir with the turkey baster, poured new fluid it, and ran the system(turning car on and wheel from full lock left to full lock right). i just did that over and over again untillclean fluid was being sucked up thru the turkey baster andfilled the reservoir at the correct level. granted it's probably not as good removing the return hose but it works fine, fluid is clean .
I'm not sure if a mayo jar might be big enough. It says that it takes about 1.5 quarts of fluid.
you guys could always remove the line and then put a larger hose over it and some duct tape, a bucket and some shop towels over the bucket with the hose going into the bucket...... that way MOST the mess would be contained.....
It would help if you can find a piece of tube slightly bigger than the return hose to make a extension. Then you can guide the old fluid into a big container while you keep topping up the reservoir with new fluid. Worst thing is to have a full mayo jar and an empty reservoir at the same time.
